Drilling a well for water supply
Nestled at the picturesque base of the towering peaks in Amed, the Vesica Villas Celuke project enjoys a prime position with direct access to the pristine, fresh flowing artesian waters that Amed is renowned for. This invaluable natural resource is set to become a cornerstone of the development, offering an unparalleled advantage: a dedicated, clean drinking water source for each of the nine luxurious 2-storey villas within the project.
This ambition, however, came with its set of challenges, particularly during the drilling phase aimed at tapping into this precious artesian water. The undertaking was more time-consuming and complex than initially anticipated. The primary obstacle encountered was the dense rock formation prevalent throughout the Karangasem region, a geological feature influenced by millennia of volcanic activity from the majestic Mt. Agung. This dense rock formation presented a formidable barrier, testing the limits of our drilling equipment and strategies.
The Challenges Faced
The drilling contractor faced significant hurdles, one of which was the frequent need to send the drill bit away for sharpening. The extreme hardness of the volcanic rock caused rapid wear and tear on the drill bits, necessitating multiple sharpenings to maintain the effectiveness of the drilling operation. This requirement became one of the main contributors to the project’s delays, as each trip for sharpening took valuable time away from the drilling process.
Despite these challenges, the persistence and expertise of our team paid off. On the 13th of February 2024, a milestone was achieved as we “broke water” at a depth of 54 meters. This breakthrough moment was not just a technical achievement but a promise of sustainability and self-sufficiency for the Vesica Villas Celuke project. Access to artesian water not only guarantees a clean and reliable water supply for the future residents but also reflects a deep respect for environmental conservation and sustainable living practices.
Success
The successful tapping into the artesian water source underscores the project’s commitment to providing not just luxury accommodations but also a living environment that is in harmony with nature. This approach aligns with a growing global emphasis on sustainable development practices, where the integration of natural resources into residential projects enhances the quality of life for residents while minimizing environmental impact.
Furthermore, this achievement marks a significant step forward in the development process, moving the Vesica Villas Celuke project closer to realizing its vision of creating a serene, self-sustaining community that offers a retreat-like ambiance amidst the natural beauty of Amed. The access to fresh, clean artesian water is a testament to the project’s dedication to excellence, sustainability, and the well-being of its future residents.
In summary, the journey to secure a clean drinking water source for the Vesica Villas Celuke development was fraught with challenges but ultimately led to a significant accomplishment. The ability to provide each villa with a direct connection to Amed’s artesian water not only enhances the project’s appeal but also sets a new standard for sustainable luxury living. As the development progresses, this milestone will be remembered as a pivotal moment that highlights the project’s resilience, commitment to sustainability, and the promise of an exceptional living experience for its future inhabitants.
